Chairman’s Message

“Morning,  everyone”.  That’s right, “morning”.  Now, of course, I realize that it is not morning but morning is the beginning of something new and fresh.  The beginning of new friendships, the chance to perform your daily task perhaps better than in the past.  A chance to grow and improve the way we do business.  A chance to develop new opportunities by networking with other business owners.

We all like to do business with people we know and trust.  What better reason is there to get out and meet your business peers?

The Nederland Chamber of Commerce’s door is always open to help with and listen to your business needs.  We want to continue to build our connection with local businesses and our community leaders and citizens.  We must seek to strengthen our relationships if we are to continue to grow and prosper.  I encourage all of you to get involved and take advantage of the numerous opportunities to network with the chamber.

2018 is a new morning.  The chamber has many events that you might want to pitch in and help with.  Some of these events include our Heritage Festival Concession booth,  the Mother of the Year ceremony, Honor Grad Fun Day, our annual golf tournament,  the Boots and Bull Celebrity Waiter Event and Trunk R Treat, just to name a few.

I realize running a business takes alot of time but please try, this year, to carve out a little time to help your Chamber to continue to help you.  I hope to continue to see an increased number of you at our events, especially our monthly coffees.  We have an excellent Board of Directors, that you voted for, and they are eager and willing to help our community and our business owners to prosper and succeed in today’s strengthening economy.

I look forward to being your 2018 Chairman and to a fresh new year, full of promise.
